18 & 19 October 2010 - It was a memorable occasion for the Murdoch University's Singapore Graduates. The University organised a heartwarming graduation ceremony over two days to celebrate the achievements of its graduates taking the off-shore programmes in Singapore.
Held at the Raffles City Convention Centre, the ceremony was attended by numerous Murdoch Faculty Members and Senior Management Staff, including Chancellor, Mr Terry Budge, and Professor Gary Martin, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor. The Chairman of SMa Institute of Higher Learning, Mr George Huang; Deputy Chairman Dr Moh Chong Tau, Chief Executive Officer Mr Richard Soh and senior management staff were also present at the ceremony to celebrate the graduates' achievements.
The opening and closing addresses for the ceremony were conducted by Chancellor, Mr Terry Budge. He congratulated the graduates on achieving their journey of discovery with Murdoch University and hoped that students can apply their newfound knowledge wisely and fairly. It was an inspirational speech keenly felt by all the graduates present.
This year saw the largest Murdoch cohort from SMa Institute of Higher Learning - over 600 students graduated with either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. It certainly spelt a successful partnership between Murdoch University and SMa Institute. Indeed, the fruitful partnership saw a total of over 1,400 Murdoch graduates since 2004.
