SMa-CMC Internship Training Programme
Introduction

SMa Career Management Centre was established to provide value-added career assistance to our students/members. Through SMa-CMC, we aim to provide vital industry linkages and channels for our students and members in their career advancement process a and to provide support for our 2,800 corporate members and other organizations who are interested in the recruitment of well-qualified job candidates. In addition, the CMC Internship Training Programmes aims to provide practical training for our students in industrial and commercial environments. Based on the needs of the partnering organizations, CMC would assist in arranging for interested students to undergo the Internship/Attachment Programme with our partnering organizations and thus provide them an opportunity to expose to the corporate world.

Internship Training Programme

The Internship Training programme can be undertaken by the students at the end of their course and will last from 1 to 6 months, depending on the requirements of the specific partnering organizations. During the Internship, students will undergo on-the-job training and be coached in performing the designated roles in the organizations.

Interested students who apply for the Internship Training Programme will have to undergo a selection interview conducted by the CMC. After undergoing the internship with the organizations, students are required to submit a report to the CMC on their learning experience with the respective organizations. This report will not be part of any assessments under their course but will provide a good feedback for CMC to assess how our students can benefited from the Internship Training Programme.

Objectives of the Internship Training Programme

To provide an out-of-the classroom training environment for the students and provide opportunities for them to apply the knowledge and skills that they have learnt on their course, in real-life working environment.

To enable our students to be exposed to more real-life work situation and prepare them for their career/working life
