   Introduction

The Murdoch MBA provides students with key concepts and a comprehensive exposure to the key analytical tools required to make sound business decisions. The Murdoch MBA will appeal to those who wish to progress to higher levels of responsibility in management or to change career directions.

   Career Prospects

Murdoch MBA graduates have an employment rate of close to 100% of those seeking work. Salaries average AU$92,276, with a maximum of AU$360,000. The private sector dominates, and the public sector accounts for around 18% of graduates. Graduates find promising careers in the mining and resource industries, banking, financial services, consulting, government, education administration, utilities, IT and international business.

   Programme Outline

The Murdoch MBA is a coursework master's degree in Business Administration and comprises of 12 modules broken into 3 award stages: PG Cert, PG Dip and Masters. Coursework covers a wide spectrum of strategic overviews of every business operation and the key functional areas such as marketing, accounting, general business management, leadership, Training & Development, strategic management and more specialized units such as risk management, dispute management and business consultancy.

Stage 1: Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (6 months)

Stage 2: Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (6 months)

   Programme Duration

The Murdoch MBA is delivered 100% in Singapore. Students have an option to choose from either a 12 or 24 months study period. The classes will be delivered via face-to-face lectures conducted by Murdoch University lecturers and their international associate lecturers. This course is offered on a modular basis tailored to meet the needs of busy professionals.

Each unit is supported by 32 hours of seminars/ workshops delivered through 2 blocks of teaching (3 days per block): Fri (7pm-10pm), Sat (9am-4pm) and Sun (9am-5pm).

   Assessment Scheme

Applicants are selected on the basis of at least one of the following criteria:

    • A first or second class honors degree plus at least one year of relevant practical experience
    • A bachelor's degree plus graduate or postgraduate studies equivalent in length to at least one year of full-time study plus at least one year of relevant practical experience
    • A bachelor's degree plus at least two years of relevant practical experience
    • Significant middle to senior level relevant practical experience
    • Recognized and appropriate professional qualifications (for example, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) plus at least two years of relevant practical experience
    • Applicants may be required to provide satisfactory scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).

   Application Procedure

Interested applicants are required to submit the following:

    • Duly-completed application form that can be obtained from SMa School of Management or SMa web site
    • Certified true copies of all education certificates and transcripts
    • Application processing fee of S$20 (non-refundable)

* Reservations will not be entertained.

   Withdrawal & Deferment

All notice of withdrawal must be in writing. A full refund of the course fees paid will be made if notice of withdrawal is received more than 60 days before course commencement. If notice of withdrawal is received between 60 to 30 days before course commencment, 75% of course fees paid will be refunded.

No refund will be made after the course has commenced. Course Fee paid will not be refunded in the event of deferment regardless of whether the request made is prior to commencement or after the commencement of the course.

   Changes & Amendments

SMa reserves the right to make changes to the programme structure, admission requirements, course fee, examination rules and regulations, lecturers, date and venue of lectures.
