Founded in 1932 as a Business Federation, SMa has a strong tradition of nearly 80 years of establishment and proven track record in Singapore and the region.

A not-for-profit Organisation

As part of not-for-profit organisation, SMa Institute strongly believes in delivering quality education to all our students and adhering to a high academic standard. Operational surpluses or profits are channelled back towards membership services and community service to provide better services and facilities for our members and students.

EduTrust Certification

SMa Institute was amongst the early batch of private educational institutions to be registered with the CPE in May 2010. In addition, we are awarded the EduTrust certification in September 2010. This EduTrust certification helps to distinguish higher quality providers in the Singapore's private education industry. As required under the EduTrust Certification Scheme, all fees paid by students are fully protected under CPE's Fee Protection Scheme. We also adopted the CPE-standard PEI-Student Contract.

Same Degree as Conferred on Campus

SMa Institute works with its university partners to ensure that the academic quality of the programme is as rigorous as the standards set on campus. In return, all degree qualifications awarded via SMa Institute is exactly the same as conferred on Campus. Students can also arrange to complete part of their programme in Singapore and complete the remaining programme on campus.

Lecturer : Student ratio

To ensure an optimal learning experience, our lecturer-student ratio for lectures is capped at 1:100, workshop is capped at 1:40 and tutorial is capped at 1:25. With more than 30 classrooms in total, we can accommodate over 1,000 students.

Commitment to Lifelong Learning

As a firm believer of Lifelong Learning, SMa Institute offers a through train Progression Path for international and local students who can expect to progress from a Foundation English programme to a postgraduate programme.

Financial and Instalment Scheme available

SMa Institute collaborates with its corporate members including UOB, DBS and Citibank to offer financial scheme. The school also offers flexible monthly financial schemes to students who do not qualify for financial loans. It is a commitment of the School to ensure that no student is deprived of an education because of their financial difficulties.
